Module Overview

Module II provides an in-depth clinical study of the Zang Fu organ system with focused application to respiratory and systemic disorders. This module advances participants from theoretical organ knowledge to organ-based pattern differentiation, channel integration, and treatment design of the Lung & Large Intestine Zang Fu organs.

Zang–Fu Organ System

Comprehensive analysis of the functional, energetic, and pathological roles of Zang Fu organ system

Zang (Solid) Organs:
Lung, Spleen, Kidney, Liver, Heart, (Pericardium)

Fu (Hollow) Organs:
Large Intestine, Stomach, Bladder, Gallbladder, Small Intestine, San Jiao

Emphasis is placed on inter-organ relationships and functional dynamics.

Lung (Zang) – Advanced Study

  • Governing Qi and respiration
  • Regulation of Wei Qi and defensive function
  • Fluid metabolism and skin relationship
  • Pathomechanism in respiratory disorders

Large Intestine (Fu) – Advanced Study

  • Transport and elimination functions
  • Interior–exterior relationship with the Lung
  • Heat, dryness, and fluid pathology patterns

Channel & Organ Integration

  • Lung channel relationships with Heart, Liver, Kidney, and Spleen
  • Interior/exterior dynamics (Lung–Large Intestine pairing, etc)
  • Channel involvement in respiratory and systemic presentations

Clinical Application

Respiratory & Systemic Pattern Differentiation

  • Common cold, cough, wheezing, asthma
  • Wind invasion patterns
  • Phlegm accumulation
  • Lung Qi deficiency
  • Yin deficiency and dryness syndromes

Structured analysis includes:
Etiology • Pathology • CM Diagnosis • Pattern Differentiation • Treatment Strategy

Treatment prescription for all of the above conditions.

Chinese Medicine Consultation / 10 Questions

Treatment of participating attendees utilizing Chinese Medicine protocols.
