Eastern Medicine Institute’s acupuncture and dry needling seminars require active, hands-on laboratory participation as an essential component of the course. As a condition of enrollment, attendance, and successful completion, each participant is required to both perform needling and receive needling in the anatomical regions designated by the instructor as necessary to satisfy the educational objectives and practical competency requirements of the course.

Participants must therefore be willing and able to participate fully in all required laboratory activities. Personal, religious, cultural, or other objections to performing or receiving needling do not automatically exempt a participant from required hands-on instruction or competency assessment. Any participant who believes that a medical condition, disability, religious belief, or other legally protected circumstance may affect participation must notify Eastern Medicine Institute before enrollment or prior to the start of the course so that any legally required reasonable accommodation can be evaluated. An accommodation will not be provided when it would eliminate or fundamentally alter an essential educational or competency requirement of the course.

A participant who does not complete the required hands-on components of the course may be ineligible to complete the course or receive a certificate of completion.

Cancellations must be received at least five (5) business days before the scheduled live seminar to be eligible for a refund, less a $50 administrative fee.
Cancellations received fewer than five (5) business days before the live seminar are nonrefundable. At the sole discretion of Eastern Medicine Institute, the registration fee may be applied as a credit toward another eligible Eastern Medicine Institute course. Any credit granted must be used within 365 days of the originally scheduled seminar date, after which the credit will expire and have no remaining value.

All cancellation or credit requests must be submitted in writing. Failure to attend a scheduled seminar without providing written notice (“no-show”) is not eligible for a refund or credit.

Registration fees are nonrefundable once the live seminar has begun.
Eastern Medicine Institute reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a seminar. If Eastern Medicine Institute cancels a seminar and does not offer an acceptable rescheduled date, registered participants will receive a full refund of the seminar registration fee.

Eastern Medicine Institute reserves the right to deny enrollment, refuse participation, or dismiss any individual from its acupuncture and/or dry needling seminars when the individual is unwilling or unable to comply with the established educational requirements, mandatory hands-on laboratory participation, safety protocols, or professional standards of the course. These requirements include both performing and receiving needling in designated anatomical regions when necessary to achieve the course’s educational objectives. All enrollment and participation decisions will be made on a consistent, nondiscriminatory basis, with consideration of reasonable accommodations as required by applicable law.
