Building upon the foundational knowledge provided in the Basic course\, which emphasized needle practices\, proper clean needle technique\, and adept handling of filiform needles\, this Advanced course takes a more intricate and clinically focused approach. \nThe Basic course delivered by EMI (Eastern Medicine Institute) comprehensively covered the common and larger muscles of the body. The goal was to equip practitioners with the skills needed to proficiently insert\, manipulate\, and safely extract the filiform needle\, ultimately delivering optimal outcomes for patients. \nIn the Advanced course\, our focus shifts to the insertion of needles into tendons and ligaments of the smaller muscles and joints. A meticulous exploration of needling techniques is undertaken\, concentrating on critical body regions including the upper cervical spine\, lower cervical spine\, thoracic spine\, lumbopelvic spinal region\, shoulder complex\, wrist and forearm\, upper and lower extremities\, knee complex\, ankle/foot complex\, as well as protocols tailored for TMJ/TMD dysfunction and headaches. \nThis course also delves into advanced topics such as electrical stimulation in conjunction with filiform needles\, as well as protocols for needling scar tissue.
