Below is an overview of the 200 Hour Advanced Program with a registration link at the bottom.
Module 1 – Brief review of the Basic 100 hour program and highlighting the most used acupuncture points and point combination. Discussion of tongue & pulse diagnosis and auricular overview. Advance study of Chinese Medicine principles. History taking in Chinese Medicine. Channel theory and the combination of acupuncture points related to channel theory. Revealing the Theory of Six Stages and the Eight Extra Meridians and their use in clinical practice. Needling Techniques relating to tonification and sedation. Basic introduction to the theory of Chinese Herbal medicine.
Module 2 – Detail discussion of the Zang Fu organs and their functions Differentiation of syndromes involving the Lung/Large Intestine relationship. Treatment protocols of conditions related to the Lung patterns such as Respiratory conditions, colds, flu, cough, asthma and sinusitis. Clinical applications of Moxibustion and its usage. Herbs that relate to Lung conditions and herbal formulas relating to the Lung conditions.
Module 3 – Detail discussion of the Zang Fu of the Spleen/Stomach detail study, treatment protocols of conditions related to the digestive system addressing stomach issues, diarrhea, constipation, abdominal distension, etc. Treatment techniques of needling, Moxibustion and other non-needle treatments. Herbal formulas reviewed relating to the Spleen/Stomach conditions.
Module 4 – Detailed discussion of the Zang Fu of the Heart/Small Intestine, treatment protocols of Heart disorders; Chest Pain, Palpitations, Insomnia, Depression and Anxiety. Treatment techniques of needling, and other non-needle treatments. Herbal formulas reviewed relating to the Heart conditions.
Module 5 – Detailed discussion of the Zang Fu of the Kidney/Bladder, treatment protocols of Kidney & Bladder disorders: All urination disorders – painful urination, cloudy urination, difficult urination, frequent urination and tinnitus. Initial presentation of male sexual dysfunction. Detailed presentation of low back pain and the relationship of the Kidney. Treatment techniques for low back pain with needling, Moxibustion and other non-needle treatments. Herbal formulas reviewed relating to the Kidney/Bladder conditions.
Module 6 – Detailed discussion of the Zang Fu of the Liver/Gall bladder, treatment protocols of Liver/Gall bladder Disorders: Dizziness, vertigo, jaundice, tremors, wind stroke, epilepsy and other issues related to the Liver is Chinese Medicine. Herbal formulas reviewed relating to the Liver/Gallbladder conditions. Final examination for the 2nd 200 hours.
